Position Description

Conduct qualification courses in the simulator and airplane for international, domestic and internal customers. Serve as instructor pilot during landing training in the aircraft and Initial Operating Experience airplane training. Fly international, ETOPS and domestic routes, providing flight instruction to foreign and US pilots. Perform familiarization and demonstration flights. Demonstrate advantages and technical features of Boeing airplanes for customer evaluation. Provide Subject Matter Expert support for the design and development of instructor pilot training materials and courseware. Coordinate training, standardization, demonstration, and evaluation procedures with international, domestic, military and civil regulatory agencies to safely achieve contractual standards and certification requirements.

Aircraft Knowledge: Complete knowledge of airplane components, systems and terminology.

Aircraft Operations: Complete knowledge and ability to use standard crew resource management, weight and balance calculations, navigation procedures, airspace, meteorology, aircraft performance data, communication operations, flight planning, industry regulations and pilot aviation skills to perform aircraft operations.

Customer Focus: Makes customers and their needs a primary focus of one’s actions; develops and sustains productive customer relationships; uses information to understand customers’ circumstances, problems, expectations, and needs; periodically becomes involved in sharing information with customers to build their understanding of issues and capabilities; considers how actions or plans will affect customers; responds quickly to meet customer needs and resolve problems; assists higher graded employees and/or project team leaders in implementing ways to monitor and evaluate customer concerns, issues, and satisfaction and to anticipate customer needs.

Flight Instruction Techniques: Intermediate knowledge of flight instruction techniques (e.g., analysis of student errors, planning of instructional periods, assessment of progress, laws of learning) for aircraft. The ability to comprehend and communicate program related operational requirements.

Contributing To Team Success: Makes procedural or process suggestions to work group members, other internal employees, and occasionally external customers for achieving team goals or performing team functions; provides necessary resources or helps to remove obstacles to help the team accomplish its goals; listens to and fully involves others in team decisions and actions; values and uses individual differences and talents; shares important or relevant information with the team; adheres to the team’s expectations and guidelines; fulfills team responsibilities; demonstrates personal commitment to the team.

Basic Qualifications For Consideration

Do you have a minimum of 2000 hours multi-engine turbojet transport pilot experience?

Do you have and can you maintain an FAA Class I Medical Certificate?

Are you willing to travel abroad for 180 days per year, to include travel assignments of 30 consecutive days?

Do you have an FAA Air Transport Pilot Certificate or foreign equivalent OR meet the eligibility requirements of 14 CFR 61.153 and 61.159 to receive an FAA Air Transport Pilot (ATP) Certificate?

Typical Education/Experience

Bachelor’s Degree and typically 10 or more years related work experience.

Other Job related information

Requires the desire and ability to work comfortably in diverse cultures.
Recent turbojet flight experience required.
Total pilot time - Minimum of 5000 hours highly preferred.
Multi-engine turbojet instructor pilot time - 1000 hours highly preferred.
International flight experience to include trans-oceanic and non-radar operations preferred.
