Its just the sign off part , thats what I'm peeved about! It takes like , ah , 4 seconds to sign your name , # and date. Thats all I was asking , a signature , for a written test retake , I wasn't asking for a 747 type!

I just saw a pretty good looking female FO come out of the AirTran gate today (9/9) at Pittsburgh...

Wonder if that was her?

Anyhow yeah, I wouldnt charge a fellow CFI I personally knew or had any sort of connection with any money for an IPC, BFR, or sign off.

Weird.

Maybe just some bad eggs.
 
I gave a fello CFI I worked with a BFR and didn't want any money for it, he insisted he pay me for it. I don't know the reason why, maybe he didn't want to feel he owed me a favor.

...no big deal, huh? You wanted someone you don't know to sign a statement that he/she has prepared you for the re-take, without actually determining that fact? Where do you get off expecting such falsification? Did you do such falsification, and call it "instructor courtesy"?

The "courtesy" that you speak of, and I remember, was in aircraft checkouts or flight reviews, where flying was involved, or could be for writtens, but you knew them.

Come on, do you really live in a world where you expect to walk into any unknown fbo and be given red carpet free treatment because you 'used to'?

First off , its an FBO that I have been flying and teaching at for 20 years.

Second , I had , in my hand , sample test and corrected questions that I missed.

Third , it was for a written test , Not a solo over the OCEAN!

Fourth , I have 10 times the experience of that guy/CFI.

Fifth , How old are you Nosehair? Old enough to have Nosehair?:sarcasm:

..and there you would be guessing right. It is a different world than what you were in some twenty years ago, and for me, some forty years ago.:)
