Information left out on medical form

Hi Doc!

I have a friend who just started flight training and after getting his medical (first class) he realized he totally forgot to mention some visits with a cardiologist he had about 5-6 years back.

He was having breathing problems and the cardiologist found an irregular ekg but was cleared after a couple echocardiograms and breathing tests. Nothing was found wrong and he was diagnosed with asthma which has since past.

I was reading some article in flight training magazine about an airline pilot who had his ATP revoked due to leaving out info on his medical forms. I let my buddy know about that but wanted to find out what he should do. The last thing I want is for his cert. to ever get revoked.

Thanks!

Thanks I'll let him know. Do you think that would be something that would prevent a class 1 medical?

That's a good question, how does one handle issues that come up between medicals. Who makes the call? Many doctors don't know what is disqualifing(sp). Do we just wait until the next medical
