Does anyone know of a place in Southern CA. that has good rates on multi's. If the price is right, I'll go anywhere between Santa Barbara and San Diego.

There are a few flying clubs on MYF (Montgomery Field) in San Diego with really good rates. You'd have to join the club of course and pay monthly dues (probably around $40-50) but you'd have a pretty inexpensive hourly multi-engine rate. There's one club that has a Seneca and two Duchess'.

I don't mind searching online, but if you have the name of a particular club that would save a brotha a lotta work:) I thought about joining the Long Beach Flying Club out here and they are at $199 for a seminole.

What happened to Phoenix.....?

We moved out to Phoenix for significantly cheaper housing and a significantly smaller population. Well, those are increasing and adding in the 105+ highs with 85 degree lows (almost everyday), it really wasn't worth it to stay.

Best rates on the best plane BY A LANDSLIDE is Grey Eagle Aviation at KCRQ in Carlsbad it is a BE-76 ME 202 with newer avionics and a garmin 430 for $155.00/hr wet

closest competitor is Orion Aviation at the same airfield for an older model duchess with antiquated avionics (does have an hsi) for $175.00/hr wet

I know that there is a flying club at MYF. I was out there 3 years ago and a guy was running one out of an office at Gibbs. Walk in the door from the parking lot and its the first office on the left.

EDIT: Here's a list of flying clubs off of the Gibbs website. And it was Golden Wings that I was talking about above.

I doubt it gets much cheaper than this!

Anybody that would trust their lives to two RC airplane engines is way too stupid to be flying a twin.

It's all about the maximum glide range..... .. . I guess. I've seen "airworthy" normal category airplanes in much worse shape than that thing.

Can you really log time flown in the CriCri ( French plane by the way  ) ? wouldnt it be considered an Ultra light ( It weighs 150 lbs)?

Because for 15 000 Euros, that would definetely be the cheapest way to build ME time. Plus you can do aerobatics in that little thing !
