On the second day of IOE my captain called in sick and I was positive spaced home. Somehow Lady Luck smiled upon me and I'll be home for Christmas.
 
That's awesome dude! I wish I could say the same. I will be spending Christmas morning on the road and Christmas night in a hotel room.

Your just starting ioe? Sweet!! Is this normal or not normal for your other buds from class? How long was it from a/c checkout to the start of ioe? Im currently at two weeks and Im expecting about another week. But it sounds like it could be more :)
 
I'm not sure what he had. He was coughing and had red eyes.

It was about 4 weeks from aircraft checkout to IOE.

I got sorta lucky. Xmas eve was a RR in MGM, but I was done at around 2 PM in MEM, went home to spend time with my family, and I don't have to be back at the airport until almost 2 PM tomorrow. I'll be flying 6 days in a row, technically, but at least I got to spend Xmas night in my own bed.
