I'm going home...

I've been having complications since the night they did my c-sectionM but Thursday night my fever was really high, close to 104 and my incision site burst open and after three more days in the hospital, another surgery and possible one to come, the staff infection I picked up IN the hospital is gone. We don't plan to have anymore kids for a while.

Sorry to hear that, but good to hear that it's gone...and lol about future kids.

Yeah...Hospitals are notorious for infections...That's why they try to get you out ASAP. Go figure.

Wow, Pam...I had no idea....Sorry if I missed it. :(

Glad you're going home and feeling better. Hope little Evan is doing well. :)
How's Oliver holding up through all the craziness? :panic:

Hope everything works out for the best, Pam. My wife had a cesarian, luckily it was uneventful, I feel for people that have difficulties afterwards after hearing the horror stories. I've heard the horror stories about hospitals too, that is why when they said either shoulder surgery or no more football or track I just hung up the spikes and cleats.

Oliver is my knight in shining armor like normal. :) He really has been awesome. He made sure my mom was there with me at the hospital and took care of our two week old baby every night. He dealt with all of my emotions and geez...that surely wasn't easy. It has been a very painful two weeks and on top of any normal post pardum emotional issues, I have been an absolute wreck due to the complications. It sucks cause I'm home now and feel like everything should finally get to be normal now but instead I now have to have home health care coming out to the house twice everyday to continue packing the incision, which does NOT feel good. I'm so ready to be over. Thanks to anyone praying. We can use it!

Congrats on the boy and hope you heal fully soon!!

Now...we need someone to post the music video "I'm going home" by Daughtry...Darren, get on it.

Please take care of yourself. I have been worried about this since you posted. Sounds like you have a really good support system in place so be sure to use it and rest and get well.

I really appreciate all the kind thoughts and words guys. I've been really depressed about it all lately. I dread the nurse coming everyday. The first nurse was worried too much about hurting me and wasn't packing it good so when I went in to see my doc he ended up having to push open a lil cavity that wasn't healing right, that hurt. I somehow feel like this is my fault cause it seems everyone else has a totally uneventful labor and delivery. I'm just trying really hard to get better and endure what I have to to be 100% again. The nurse they send now is awesome. She's gentle but thorough and although I still hate seeing her at the door, I have high hopes that we're getting somewhere with this. Luckily it's also getting less painful by the day. I really don't mean to be so dramatic, and your kind words and wishes really mean more to me than anyone realizes. Oh, and Evan is awesome. He's gorgeous, he sleeps good, he doesn't cry much, he eats good...it all makes like a lil easier right now. I really love being a mother. Oliver is definitely enjoying being daddy too.
