I\'m a Multi-Man!

Just passed my Private AMEL rating today. Whoohoo! Now I can REALLY start spending the cash!

Better yet, I can get out of the old Seminoles and into the "new car scent" 2001 Seminoles w/ the dual 430's. I'm not knocking the old birds too much, but each one of them sure does have its fair amount of "personallity"!

Well, now it's on to instrument which should be pretty cool.

Congrats! Download the Garmin sim (it's free) and practice with that to get the hang of the 430. Best tip: If you get lost in the menu and sub-menus, just press and hold the CLR button for two seconds and it'll dump you out to the main NAV page. The map is one click right.

Good luck in 4A/4B.

4A tip - On ndb work, use the RMI to determine three things:

1. Where I'm at? (Always on the tail)
2. Where I'm going? (picture the needle there or use the HSI to simulate it)
3. How am I going to get there? (Tail moves right, you move right)

Congrats!!!

I guess I got really lucky! I was able to do all of my multi flying in the new planes. Never even sat in one of the old Seminoles.
