ILS question

GSO and IAH, each have a runway with ILS's on both ends that use the same frequency, different identifiers.

Would there not be some type of interference if both were on at the same time?

Does ATC turn on the ones they are going to use or are all the ILS's on 24/7 (except for maintenance)?


GSO - ILS for 5L/23R - Freq 109.55

IAH - ILS for 8LR/26L - Freq 109.7

ATC turns on the one in use.

I once did a [practice approach, told the controller I was reverse sensing, and they turned it around.
