(C) Three different kinds of approaches with the use of navigation systems;

IMHO an ASR approach counts as an approach, it only has to use a navigation system... RADAR (vectors) is a navigation system...

I don't think a visual would count though... pilotage is a navigation method not a system...

Ahhh technicalities:insane:

I was told that ...
Since this is the CFI corner, and I think I am talking to CFI's, I gotta tell you that the phrase..."I was told that..." should NEVER, let me repeat *NEVER* be used to substantuate any claim of knowledge.

I am a long time instructor and I make mistakes. I tell people wrong stuff.
Old people do that. We have a lot of knowledge, but a lot of it is out of date, or is just because that is the way we were taught and did it so long that we think it is regulatory.
But I do not use the fact that someone told me something as a reason to substantuate facts. Find the legal reference. I may do things on a trusted friends advice, but I never tell a student..."because I was told". And, of course, I would never tell a judge "because I was told..".

Let's look it up, and share the reference knowledge.
