I'm all for book learning. Airplanes, aerodynamics (speaking of which, I need to pull out ANA again and refresh, but I digress), etc, but seriously do we need a book to tell us to stay in touch, be a decent human and talk to people every once in a while, and figure out the path you would like to see yourself following? I think I need to write a book.

I thought the same thing when I got the book, in fact I was almost offended that my parents got it for me. I though, "Well no crap, I need to make contacts, I didn't know that:sarcasm: , what, do they think I'm an idiot." I read the first 2 or 3 pages and thought "All this is telling you to make contacts and stay in touch, duh..." But I kept reading and I'm glad I did. It has great ideas for breaking the ice, and keeping in contact, and making sure you stay fresh in the mind of the contact. We all know we need to make and keep contacts, this book just go's a little deeper and tells you unique ways to make a contact and keep it too. Give it a chance.

Yeah, it's still a one-stop for any pilot supplies though. They have EVERYTHING. On the hobby side though... Trains, and airplanes! They do have a nice collection of airliner models! I got my metallic gemini jet FedEx and UPS mad dogs from there. The airport display case is a cool thing to look at. LNS is a cool airport, great restaurant with a view!

Yeah, I made my CFI take me there so I could get the PHAK. Yeah, I liked the airline display, the models are cool, but trains? not my forte...

I've heard the restaurant is good, never ate there though. I should have my ticket this summer sometime, let me know if you ever want to meet up there sometime!

Cool, I ordered myself a copy of Job Hunting... Saw it awhile back but forgot.

In regards to the tactics that job hunters are taking, I always thought it would be cool to tow a banner or something. [Pilot needs $$$ - (555) 555-5555]

One could only imagine the variety of calls they would receive.
 
Books are great and all, but it seems like facetime really makes the difference.
