If you couldn't be a professional pilot...what would you do?

Re: If you couldn\'t be a professional pilot...what would you do?

I would be a proffesional Ebayer... then spend my time as an airport rat and at the lake.

Aviation Freak, would your name be Art Vandelay?

Re: If you couldn\'t be a professional pilot...what would you do?

Within aviation, I would have enjoyed ATC and almost did it for a career over being a pilot, but that's another story.

Outside of aviation, I would have been a junior high or high school counselor or worked with youth is some way. Luckly, my job gives me the chance to do this stuff as a volunteer, which is really better.

Re: If you couldn\'t be a professional pilot...what would you do?

Back to fulltime firefighter.

Re: If you couldn\'t be a professional pilot...what would you do?

I'd probably go back and get my Masters Degree at Thunderbird in either AZ or in France; the newspaper said Phoenix was supposed to surpass 113 today!!

Whew!!!!! I think I'd go to T-Bird France.

Re: If you couldn\'t be a professional pilot...what would you do?

Information systems...without a doubt. Nothing like helping stupid people fix their computers!!!!

(That was a joke, for real)

Re: If you couldn\'t be a professional pilot...what would you do?

I'd become a talk show host on a trashy show like Jerry Springer. Then after 10 years or so when I got sick of that, I'd run for senator.

Heh, maybe in the next life.

Re: If you couldn\'t be a professional pilot...what would you do?

I have no idea.. I've always either wanted to fly or play hockey..

Probably something in the aviation related field.

Re: If you couldn\'t be a professional pilot...what would you do?

Information Technology.......I like helping "stupid" people too LOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Sorry, I couldn't help it...

Re: If you couldn\'t be a professional pilot...what would you do?

Either start my own graphic design firm or be a student semi-professionally--live off the fat of prestigious schools and travel around the world in my abundant free time. Once I receive my first PhD (in Philosophy--the real thing) I'd teach a class or two when I feel like it and write a book.

Re: If you couldn\'t be a professional pilot...what would you do?

Stay in my current field of expertise but willing to leave propulsion design and go back to airframe design. I would still want to do military rather than commercial design.

So.....what you're saying is that you want to be like the Glassmen? You sure about that?

You'd better watch it, something bad may happen...

To answer the question, I'd go into law enforcement, its the only other thing that has interested me.

Re: If you couldn\'t be a professional pilot...what would you do?

I'm currently taking pre-reqs in order to start nursing school next year....

Flight training? Too expensive for a career that is in flux right now and probably will be for the forseeable future.

Re: If you couldn\'t be a professional pilot...what would you do?

Level/modeling/or scripting for game companies like EA, infinity ward, Activision, or ID.

Re: If you couldn\'t be a professional pilot...what would you do?

My choices are Bush Pilot, Avionics tech, or that aviation community thing. I have looked a little at airport management and loved it, but like everything else, there's no money in it.

Something I would LOVE to do. I've got the ol' handicap down to about a 7 right now. Probably won't last long though! Hey Ruppert who do you know on tour? We have a good friend that plays on the PGA. He hooked us up with some amazing passes for the Open last month. What an experience that was!

Other than that I think I would probably go into law. I love to write and I love public speaking.
