If you could have any Aircraft

Eclipse 500 always seemed like an awesome personal aircraft.

I've loved many aircraft over the years.

The F-16, the A-10. The UH-60. The Beech-1900D.

Even my humble ERJ-145. Laugh if you will, she's a graceful lady if you lead her with a firm hand. She'll get you there and gently nudge you if you step on her toes.

On the other hand...

Call it an homage to Dad, or just to a day in fighter aviation back when steely nerves, good eyes, and reflexes were at their height.

They called her the 'Last Gunfighter', and the 'Tits Machine'. The men who flew her loved her. She was the most successful of her kind in Vietnam.

She served for decades. John Glenn set records, and she let the world see that Cuba did in fact have Soviet missiles aimed the United States.

Here's to you, Crusader.

This sappy aviation moment brought to you by end-of-trip fatigue and Jim Beam.

Definitely not as sexy as some of the warbirds posted up here, but I'll take a porter any day of the week

For partying and what not? Would have to be the 757.

Personal Transport - PC-12.

For pure Bad-Assery (it's a word...I made it up) - I'm thinking along the lines of an F-14.

There are pictures of Harrison Ford and his Beaver in the pictures thread. What a great bush pilot he must be with that thing. :bandit:

I got a picture of his beaver up here in Jackson. Watched him takeoff a couple of weeks ago. One beautiful plane and love the sound of the radial.

Fail.

He said aircraft...not spacecraft. If spacecraft were allowed, the Enterprise-E would de-freakin-stroy your money hemorrhaging space shuttle. :D
