Idiot flies RC plane near jetliner.

It's tough to say how big that thing was, but I wonder what if anything that would do to an engine.

But that is an idiotic thing to do at any rate.

"The reckless stunt was performed to film a spoof video with an onboard camera to a soundtrack taken from the jetwash scene in the rubbish 80s film Top Gun.:

HOW DARE TEY! THAT FILM WAS NOT TRASH! The jet wash sure did do some damage to the airplane.

"PULL UP. PULL UP."

Stupid stunt, agreed. But from the size of the airplane (a fomie electric) the worst that would have happened is a foam dust from injestion. They still should be busted though.

Looked like a 60-90 size, definitely a glow engine based on the noise. To give an idea, the wingspan was likely 5-6 feet and the engines are typically hardened aluminum. A 60-90 is about the size of a 12 year olds fist. As for what that would do to one of those engines, maybe one of you gurus can step in.

Naw man. Look into the fuse at the end of the video. It's one of those cheap foam molded ones. Look closely, you'll see. I have a 60 size midget mustang, and it's no 60 size. Been into this stuff since I was a gipper (like 7-8 years old). you can see the slots for the micro servo cut out in the foam towards the rear of the servo compartment.

Found this link if it helps. http://thatsjustnotright.com/forum/lofiversion/index.php/t35213.html Says weighed 850 grams (1.8 lbs). WAY to small to be .60 size

Let's Do It Mav!!!

I could easily put together something like this on video editing software. Just saying....

I'll let someone else weigh in on this, but those engines are pretty damn tough.

Hey thats in Peebles OH. I used to go there for engine tests. You should see what an engine looks like after one of those stupid deer run into it.
