"Ice Pilots" New Reality TV Show

I would be willing to bet the TV show producers are pushing the company to move the woman up. It is good for ratings. They did the same thing with Ice Road Truckers and it is the same production company.

But yeah...her attitude is complete BS.

yeah that is the truth we forget. Once the cameras turn on it's not reality anymore!

Just watched the third episode, man she is already getting on my nerves. I think your theory is probably correct, or the owner just really has a soft spot for the ladies. Who knows...
 
Same here. I think the reason she bothers me is that she seems to have a sense of entitlement instead of a willingness to earn her rank as a pilot.
 
So I just watched the first 3 episodes and I'm addicted! Did you see the look in her face when she saw the room she was staying in? Priceless!

Loved the look, it felt like payback in a way...even though she hasn't done anything....yet!
 
I think what the other rampie was saying is true... and if she had to keep working the ramp as long as everyone else she'd never make it.

That being said if the other guy blows up at anyone but inside when she jumps the line he'll have wasted all his time and hard-work, better to just swallow your pride in that case until you got a flying job, because he'd just have to do it all over again somewhere else, and in the Canadian flying community everyone knows your name.

Did anyone notice the GM's statement about "spending $40,000 dollars at a flight school doesn't make you a pilot" bit. For some reason that rubbed me the wrong way. What does that mark you then? He's not willing to risk his ass in one of those tin death traps.

He meant that in terms of their company. They want you to pay your dues with the company and work you way up from the bottom. You only become a pilot when they offer you the job for the right seat.

... and they want you to do your job as a rampee and not whine and moan all day long about how you are a pilot and when are you going to let me fly???

I agee he did not say it the most tactful way but I understand what he meant.
