On the topic of closing routes, AirTran is closing their ATL-Freeport route.

And the wife was really looking forward to non-revving to the Bahamas... :(

XJ is mesaba, who does not fly for continental.

XJT on the other hand has plenty of planes, but continental took 44 of our XR's and said they dont want them anymore. Its thier own fault not realizing CHQ's CRJ-200's and EMB145's cant perform on that route.

bah... I remember now. My mistake.

I do remember COA saying 'we don't need 44 of your planes, we got chataqua and their crj-200s to fly those routes now' ordeal :)

Wasn't it 69 aircraft? 44 of them apparently were "XR's", that's XJT speak for "the best plane EVARRRRRRR".

yea, 69 total, but only 44 of the were XR's, and thats what would be flying that route. the other 25 were LR's.

Yes they conveniently seem to sidestep the fact that it's still an RJ.

Not to mention its flight deck is louder than the Brasilia's...because it is a Brasilia, albeit one that goes twice as fast.

In other route canceling news AAeagle is closing their MX base and pulling out of BGR on nov 5. Gone is the 510am flight to BOS that routinely has more JSrs than revenue pax. Commuting from BGR just got SOOOOO much worse.

But hey we just got Allegiant on Nov 7 so every remaining seat will be filled for 89 bucks!!!!111!!one!111!
