I was just studying airspace classes

Fundamentals of Instruction and Certified Flight Instructor and no, they are not messing with you- buy that book. It's the pilot version of that "Guide" that was hidden at the library in American Pie.

I'm going to play the ignorant, new to aviation card and ask, "what do those acronyms stand for?"

FOI = Fundamentals of Instructing. It's a written test, basically how students learn and stuff like that.

CFI = Certified Flight Instructor.

That book is GREAT!!! It was 60 bucks when I bought it which is steep but it is not inexpensive to produce and promote your own book which is essentially what the author did. I have emailed him with questions and he has always replied promptly. A really friendly and standup guy.

Good book, read it back in the day cover to cover. That said, no matter what you read, you'll get a good, useful handle on airspace about the time you start filing IFR everywhere you go and don't really need it anymore (yes, I know, you always need it). Unless you're ppragman.

Thats because there is no airspace where he flies :D :sarcasm:

Is it bad that I still haven't finished reading it? :)

Might have something to do with not flying as much lately, but still...I think this makes me quite the hypocrite!

From the portions I've indulged in, it is an amazing book.
