Yet they also say this.

"Al-Qaida and its affiliates have maintained an interest in obtaining aviation training, particularly on small aircraft, and in recruiting Western individuals for training in Europe or the United States, although we do not have current, credible information or intelligence of an imminent attack being planned," according to the bulletin obtained by The Associated Press.

Fearmongering at it's finest.
 
"The bulletin also says al-Qaida would like to use sympathetic Westerners to get flight training, then get them to become flight instructors." -This is a slippery slope,

to a place known as McCarthy-ism. If you're not a commie, then you're a sympathizer. This is the same tactic that scared millions of Americans decades ago into cold war. Which was really the beginning of the military industrial complex. We are a society based on war and destruction, this is just status quo. The boogie man lives on so we can lose more of our rights and liberties all in the name of freedom and paranoia. We defeated the Nazis and then became them.
