Sooo, I've been flying an Excel for LJ recently.

The first trip I did, we picked up an Excel that had come out of mx because a chip light had come on and they had it inspected and yadda yadda.

Anyhow, day 4 we came into VJI and we get the freakin chip light again. Take it over to the Citation Center at KGSO and yup, the motor is making metal.

Today, we get in another Excel at 430AM and fire it up. The freakin no takeoff light will not go out.

WTH. I thought these things were supposed to work :P

I get to drive down to GSO tomorrow and do the mx flight on the chip light Excel. So, we will see.

What can they do about a chip light? If I remember correctly, a chip light pretty much killed a PT-6.

A very intensive inspection. The chip light detectors on the PT-6 aren't very good... chances are theres a lot of damage by the time it comes on, I'm not sure ... maybe they are a lot better on other motors.

Who/what is LJ?

The Excel looks like a nice bird. A friend of mine just took a job flying one in Cairo, Egypt. He was flying one for NetJets.
