....then to ever check my bags. Or leave my car keys in said bags. Tried to commute home from ORD to DTW at noon today on Compass. Gate agent asked me to plane side check my bags. Sure, no problem. I guess I forgot all my experience as a ramper in Detroit.

Well I made it.....but all the plane sides from that flight didn't. And every flight to Detroit after that cancelled. So if anyone else is spending the night at the MAC, hit me up! I'll be here all night.

Any damage in DTW. I was sent some photos of how they had everyone in the tunnel of light. Sorry that you didn't get your bags. You can grab a workout and shower at the westin for less than 20 bucks if you are looking to kill some time.

Nothing that I can see but on the news in Yip there were funnel clouds. Good call on the Westin. I'll keep that in mind. But I'm stuck in the monkey suit.

And no one wants to see this do naked squats. No one.

Thanks but my parents said they would take me in as a refugee for the month. After examining the bid package it looks like I'll be all over those LAX-SAN SDP's!

A) Don't be all 'Soviet Submarine Commander like', what is a SDP?

B) What about your girlfriend that is living 3000 miles away?

I have plane side checked my bags a few times in the past and never had a problem. My question is how can plane side bags not make it on the plane???

Dude its the airlines. I have plenty of stories of being a ramp rat dealing with bags. Like I said, i should have known better.

Everyone who plane side checked their bags on that flight was screwed today.

A) SDP= Split Duty Period (I know mainline doesn't have those unless you are @L-16B)
B) She has 3 weeks off in July due to her vacation accrual policy. So she will be joining me.

ORD is a different animal especially on the DAL side. The few times I have been there with my carrier we are sandwiched in between UAL gates. I can see exactly why this happened.

Huh?

Good.
Do not argue about 117 rules ever again until you read the 30 page pamphlet ALPA sent every one of its members. SDP, Split Duty Period, is also what you and I knew at CJC as a standup. I know you do not do them anymore but they still exist for us less worthy, and @L-16B. :)

@L-16B has them?

Whoa.....

Also shut up about FAR 117. They are a lot better than what we had.
Where did I come off as disliking 117? I'm in the process of calling you out because you thought I was making some Delta reference. I don't work there, I just fly their customers. :)

Yes, we have quite a few All-Nighters (ODAL, or On Duty All Night). Primarily out of PHL, we have PIT and BOS on the Airbus. Out of CLT, there are quite a few more. Goes quite senior. Although, my block for next month had one or 2 stuck in there. Breaks up the monotony of red-eyes.
