I scheduled my first flight

Hey guys, I finally did it I scheduled my first flight with a local school here on Saturday

. What do you think I will expect?

Way to go! It all depends on your CFI's style as to what you will do the first time. Just be sure and let him/her lay out a general plan for how they want to train you!

Awesome! If you are excited as I was, you wont be able to sleep the night before! have fun. You know what they say...you never forget your first.

I got airsick on my first lesson. I tried peppermint tea after that and it helped, I got over it. Have fun! Do you have a logbook yet? You'll have to log your first dual recieved time.

It's a good thing you brought the logbook up, I completely forgot! I'm going to order one online as soon as I can. Can anybody give me opinions on this logbook? http://www.mypilotstore.com/MyPilotStore/sep/skuoption.asp?sku=1454

Never seen that one before, but it looks like a good one if you want to keep a good written record of your flight training expirience.

Just make sure it has a section for endorsements and sign offs. I think it would be annoying if it didn't, for your CFI.

I've got a new student starting with me today, here's what we're doing...

Brief the overall training process
Walk through and learn the preflight
Learn engine start
Basic Radio Communications
Taxi and Run up procedures
Normal Take off
Climbs, Medium Bank turns, airspeed changes, descents, traffic patterns
Normal landing

and overall, just going out and getting a feel for the plane and flying, and having FUN!!
