I need a new watch...

Personally I don't care for the super duper e6b watches too much.

[/ QUOTE ]I don't care for them much either, but I REALLY like the option for multiple time zones--I have a hard enough time calculating Zulu time in my home state, let alone traveling to another state and then back tracking Zulu time.

Anybody ever have one of these? Personally I don't care for the super duper e6b watches too much. I think I might order one of these though. aircraftspruce.com has them for $129. That fits better into myflight instructor's salary...

Thats the exact same watch that I want. I like how it has zulu time on it. Most watches seem to be missing this. I like the look of the black face with the black leather band. As soon as I can afford if I will be purchasing one.

Hmmm, I think I now know the difference between the titanium skyhawk that I have and the ones you are all ordering.

I ordered mine a few years ago. It has a red second hand. Soon thereafter I saw one on the wrist of the PAIFA recruiter that had a
yellow second hand. (He finally gave up calling me) I don't think anywhere in my instructions it says anything about changing time zones.
Interesting to say the least.

Great watch though. Mine is a bit scratched on the band due to my line of work. I bang it against all kinds of X-ray equipment from time to time.

Another good place to buy these is Gem of the Day. Google them and you can get the prices on their site. Not as good as that Ebay price but fairly close.

This is the way the hands on my watch turn-

BAN HIM!!

I don't care how cool you think you are for having a "cool" watch, but all I look for is something that's functional and comfortable considering I'll be wearing it 16+ hours a day and I need a lot of the functions that are on there (ie 3 alarms to go off for a reduced rest show).

Your "size" comments are not appreciated here

Well I ended up buying an Ironman. Ya how cheap and boring is that? I'm doing a Mt. Hood to the ocean relay soon, some windsurfing, skiing and other abuse I think the Ironman will withstand.

HAha!!!! I win...

The stopwatch and timer come in handy in the plane I promise. As does the indiglo nightlight.

Was recently watch shopping and the infamous"Breitling" sign on the side of the street caught my eye and thought I'd pop by just to see what I couldn't afford.

-- First of all, I had to be buzzed into the store and after opening the vault door at the front - absolutely blown back by the watches -- not too sure if I could justify spending $4000+ on a watch thou --

- Had a talk with the guy who after about the first 30sec knew there wasn't any hope for a sale - gave me a pretty crazy catalogue anyways

You folks with the Titanium Skyhawk... How the hec do I adjust the band size? I dont see any instructions for the band in the manual. Do I have to go to a Jeweler?

Go to a jeweler and have it done correctly. If you start bending those rods you're going to screw up the band.

A $300 dollar watch deserves at least a $5 band fitting.
