I like my job.......

I used to fly Grand Canyon tours in 207's and it was a big deal to get a twenty. Of course, that was in the mid-80's. Nice to hear you are doing well.

Oh don't get me wrong, a $20 is a big deal as well; if us pilots are really good we can sometimes get tips from lodge guests that we take back and forth to Gustavus, usually a $20. $100 is very unusual. The best I had before this was $40.

I also have to say the being a sled driver in the summer in and around the Grand Canyon sounds very sweaty. And rough. I think I'll stick to glaciers thank you very much.... :D

BTW, if you ever want to ride along, come on up; only two legs from GEG.....
 
And then there's today.......

Sitting in Gustavus for a few hours with a busted starter. Could be worse though, I could be stuck in Hoonah......
 
I just made $24 on a 0.8hr flight after having a student barf in the airplane in the 100F Texas heat. Oh and just for kicks I got to fly 3 more hours in that same plane while it baked outside on the flight line in between flights. No amount of cleaning helps that smell. :eek:

I don't think there's any amount of money that could convince me to be a CFI anywhere south of the Canadian border. For probably just those reasons mentioned......
