I dont suppose anyone knows anything about...

They are the R/C equivalent of a giant bowl of crack...

Agreed , I bought a Taiyo Micro Master RC helicopter the other day, only $70. It's great beginner helo, a bit hard to control, but it's just like real flying, it takes time and skill.

I have one of these for flying around the house...

Air Hogs Havoc Heli RTF

It can sure take a beating :D

That's the exact same heli as the Picoo Z that I linked earlier. There is one company that makes them under several names.

And yeah. They take a severe beating.

What's fun is to try and fly it across the room, and then fly it back and land it on your own hand or knee.

I'm thinking of getting a small plane I can go to the park and fly when I cant go up for real.

if you get into r/c heres a tip. dont ever say the above at an r/c field or at a hobby shop. specifically the "for real" part. To them our planes are just "full scale", and thats the only difference between what they do and what we do. If you insinuate that thier planes are toys, not real, etc, you will not get a warm reception.

and my vote goes for a raptor .30 or an xcell gasser (raptor was an easy build but the xcell was more fun).

Estes Air Force 1 Electric Radio Control Jumbo Jet Airliner - Wal-Mart

Check this out Dude. $133.56 Boeing 747 Air Force One with four electric ducted fan engines. Looks sweet.

Don't get this! It's only cool for about 1.5 minutes until you crash it into a tree... Maybe if I had somebody tell me how to work the airplane I would have enjoyed it more. If you really want to get into RC planes, get into them for real... Have somebody tell you how to work the stuff.

You really can't get a good feel for RC flying with those chinsy little parkflyers. In most cases they are harder to fly than RC trainer. You really need something that has ailerons, rudder, and descent power. But on your budget, that might not be possible. Check out RC universe for some used stuff. There are some good deals on there.

Maybe just save your money and buy a decent RC plane if you are really interested! Or just buy a couple of hours in a real plane.

Yup!!!

All of my RC planes are in a storage in San Diego. My "play" flying is on hold till' I'm settled, and done with all my training :panic:
