I don't suck up... what to do

No matter where you work or what you do for a living you will always have a boss or someone who has power over you one way or another. Owning your own business? You still have the IRS,FTC and other entities that might have something to say about your work ect. There is no such thing as complete indipendence in a working environment. Someone will eventually want to know what you are up to. I am in a "people/client" based industry and generally dont mind people but there are a lot of AHOLES out there. The goal is to weed them out one by one to make your working environment more enjoyable. I hate doing the "yes sir" thing more than the next person. I dont look at it as selling out but buying in. If that is what will get me to the next level as a professional I would have to say its a very small price to pay.

Well I'll take my (almost posted, but suffice it to say it's a very nice salary) multiple figure salary and make coffee for anyone ... and they let me fly a real nice airplane since I make such good coffee.
