“So your flying when you hear an aircraft in distress, WWYD?”

Well he was interviewing for a pilot position and Delta is huge on customer service and metrics like net promoter score. He may not have had the same “ customers”as us regional guys but he still served some sort of customer. Why would they ask a fight guy WWYD questions? He was a fighter pilot, he wouldn't have any customer service related experiences. Maybe besides drawing delivery notices on Mark 82's.
No idea but I turned that story into a positive and told them that I aced the class the next semester.Congrats!
And WTF do your college grades have to do with flying an airplane?

Got the CJO at Delta! It was a very stressful 2 days but the team at Delta was awesome about calming our fears and nerves. I got the guaranteed interview through Endeavor. 10/15 got CJOs. 3 mil (1 fighter, 2 heavies), 1 Republic CA, and 1 corporate (flew for Kroger) did not receive CJOs
4200TT 1200 TPIC. Not involved in the company but have a lot of outside volunteering. I was probably the least qualified person there but just stay positive, smile, and show them the best version of you possible. Good luck to everyone in 2020. It’s going to be a good hiring year for Delta. Looking forward to the next 39 years of my career at SJI!

NahI see you have over 1000 TPIC, have you considered LCP or Chief Pilot,
The ability to make the FO hate you enough that he doesn't want to fly with you again, but not enough to get yourself reported to Pro Stans.what makes a good captain,
Every time I sit in a plane.TMAAT you broke a FAR and/or SOP,
Call ground security coordinatorWWYD drunk pax being belligerent,
Call ground securitiy coordinator, and the police on United's payroll.followed up with drunk pax not being belligerent but clearly drunk, would you handle it differently.
In the best Junkyard Willie voice, "Calm yo ass down, this is what you signed up for."WWYD you get new FAs and they are very flustered from previous flight, gate agent wants to board in 10 minutes.
I need you to fix yourself, or I call and have you removed. You manage to get 3/4 FAs good to go but 4th one is still not ok and is still complaining and is clearly flustered.
We're going. I got cat-like eyes.WWYD you are the CA and Mx is deferring some cockpit lighting. It’s night, IMC and you will be going into a non towered airport, MEL says it’s good to defer and Mx says it will take 40 minutes to fix, do you go or wait for them to fix it.
Defer it. Can we just drain the whiskey for later? Is that drinkable?Followed up with whisky compass back light is inop and deferred, would you change anything you just did.
Seriously though, congratulations! At your age you're sitting pretty. Enjoy it!
But, what if you're 43?![]()

Then I’d do AA as my #1.
Come to 9E. My brother’s friend’s grandmother’s great grandson who follows 9E on Instagram says Delta is pulling the 747s out of the desert and giving them to us. Inaugural route is DTW-FNT. Endeavor has 4 crew bases. Flow is a 4 letter word. Coincidence? I think not.United is my #1, if I had to choose. AA's definitely not too far behind when it comes to preference.
I don't think anyone should go to a WO if that's the mainline carrier where you most want work. Except in the case of AA, which has a flow. Most of these programs are just a recruiting tool. Even a flow. But Aviate/CPP and DGI have such abysmal numbers and so many hoops to jump through.
I'm a planner and a thinker. PSA or EDV are at this current outlook my top choices. Both airlines have UA and LCC's pulling from their pilot ranks, long before they ever flow or get called up their CPP/DGI. XJT though billed as the best way to United, doesn't really seem that way, with the Aviate slim pass rate. With PSA you have a flow in your back pocket and can still apply and reach for two other legacies United and DL. It seems a much surer bet. But what do I know? Right now, I'm just consumed with finding that all too important next step/first aviation/time building job post-primary.
