But Derg, nobody who's pretty could possibly be smart, skilled, driven, and a better networker than others....

I say its great that she's putting herself out there in the face of all the crap people are giving her. Maybe it inspires someone else.

Wasn't exactly directed at you, and was meant as light humor anyway. But yes I did miss your post about said topic.

In terms of what you said on the topic, I do treat her as I treat everyone else: "Your accomplishments are admirable."
Some folks talk about them more than others, I think that's fine too.
 
Ole' Chuck. Quite the dick. Nazy Hirani lived in Lake Arrowhead, Ca. several doors down from him. Nazy was still working through ratings and still acquiring aircraft, but had assembled a nice collection (Lancair IVP, Baron, Mooney, and was just getting into the T-6). Every time he saw Chuck, he would say hello, and ask Chuck if he wanted to go flying sometime. Chuck wouldn't give him the time of day, but went further to say "I don't fly those kinds of airplanes." or something to that effect.

When Nazy bought SuSu,word travelled quickly, I guess. Nazy said he was at home one day working on something (just a few days after he had bought her and still not checked out in her), and there was a knock on the door. It was Chuck.

"So, when are you gonna let me show you how to fly that Mustang?"

Heck man, she definitely could be (and maybe is) all of those things. I think what rubs some of us the wrong way, is how she is using her position as a vehicle to make herself famous and more important that she actually is. It's obnoxious.

My fav Yeager story: I heard he was at an event where Bud Anderson was also attending and he made some snide comment to Anderson to which Anderson responded something like - yes, I'm an ace too. I just didn't get shot down like you did.

Now that bunk22 has left the Navy and is no longer cool but rather a regional pilot (most likely with spikey hair and a backpack), thus worthy of derision...and because Hacker15e is probably a short-timer as well and may end up doing something completely goofy (like flying for a regional) I've decided that JC needs a new "hero". MikeD would be a worthy candidate but he gets busy and frankly I think a lot of us are scared of him. I am naming you the new "Hero" of JC. As part of this I will be ending any post involving you with something like "Reporting for duty!" or "Mission accomplished sir!" or even "I'll take the short, chubby one Master!"

I encourage others to do the same.
