Passed my Instrument checkride today!!! Great feeling to have it over with and now onto the commercial. It was an exhausting 2.4 hours of flight time from buffalo to batavia to niagara falls. Shot a partial panel VOR/DME, ILS, and GPS. the final leg back into buffalo with the foggles off was probably the most challenging, had a 100 degree crosswind of 16 knots!

congrats! those crosswinds are tricky! I had a 50 knots X-wind on one of my approaches on my checkride, thankfully I did it in a g1000 which had my gps track vectors for correction! Have fun with your IR, I have yet to encounter and actual IFR yet:mad:

Well done! I had trouble transitioning to commercial in that I/my instructor keep reminding me to look out the window. :banghead:

c172 with g1000...the wind wasn't that bad on the ground, but once you got up around 1000 agl it was blowing like no other! i had a great time, and learned a lot of stuff from my checkride than i did any other day! btw...sorry to the OP if i took away from your post...congrats again.

congrats man...,
Currently i'm at instrument ground school and looking forward to
some instrument flying.
Heard its usually a tough nut to crack.
