How high do hurricanes go? Can a jet climb over them? I know when we cam back from vacation earlier this summer the Flight Aware track had us going over a hurricane that hit, but I was thinking it was just a mistake.

The Crazy Russian is up at 38,000 and probably in clear air. I've flown over the eye of a small hurricane (can't remember the name but it was in 2007) at 34,000 and we were well clear of anything.
