Hi All,
I had a question regarding flying the Hudson River North Bound from Verazano Bridge and then requesting La Guardia for a transition over the Central Park, La Guardia Tower, Throgs Neck Bridge and then head east towards Republic Airport. I've done this before, but this was before the SFRA came into effect. I used to head north on Hudson and right before Intrepid, I would contact La Guardia for this, they would grant it sometimes depending on traffic and sometimes they couldn't.
My question was, how should I proceed about doing this now. Should I contact Newark before Verazano to fly the Skyline Route in Class Bravo and let him know of my request and he'll pass the request over to La Guardia. Or should I fly the transition route (1000-1300) and then as I come close to Intrepid or as I pass it, make the request straight to La Guardia.
Let's say if La Guardia denies the request and I have to proceed straight, do I MUST proceed all the way to the end of the transient route, which is Alpine tower, or can I turn right heading east after the SPUYTEN DUTVIL checkpoint. The overall goal is to get to Republic Airport while flying via the Hudson River.

Do the Control Towers have a phone number one can contact to find out more about it?
Thanks
