It may have been David and Peter (timebuilders). I was going to take an instrument student in it to Stephenville for some BBQ this afternoon but that didn't work out.

i remember someone spending 15 bucks at hard 8 last week on almost 2 pounds of pure goodness.

he also got a certain cfi's last slice of turkey and lots of beans!!

oh wait it was me!!!!!!!!!
didnt even have to eat dinner that night.

steve, if it makes you feel any better, the sausage was the best i've ever had from there, and anywhere.

soda springs bbq in fort worth is better than the hard 8. unfortunately, the only airstrip near soda springs is navy FW and landing there might be hazardous to your health (and your certificates).

driving directions? i live in fdub.

railhead is purdy good too. gotta love the frosty beer mugs.

butttt i'd take free beer over any beer anytime. one point to hard 8.

i take it back, 20 points for hard 8, one for every lil beer!

block east of las vegas trail on clifford st (exit loop 820 and go east). little red building on the north side of clifford. if you get to the 2nd stoplight you went too far.

Brett, I hate you. :)

Does the Hard 8 FedEx?
Hard 8 is OK... to me the best part is taking someone there for the first time and hopping on the golf cart. But... 6R9 (Now KAQO) is where it's at! Did you ever make it out to Llano and take the Blues Mobile into town for Cooper's BBQ? http://www.coopersbbq.com/

Man, I miss that run!

Bob

Never made it to Lano or Abilene. But, since I'm back in MEM, we've got good BBQ here. John H can vouch personally for Interstate BBQ.

Bob, I think Coopers is a little old school for these CFI's. It is been removed from the picture....unfourtunatly. I do love coopers. It is just like the hard 8 with a little more Texas feel.

I still want to try The Mt. Zion Church of BBQ in Huntsville

Dude, how can you get more Texas than autographed pictures of bull riders on the wall and antlers on the drink dispenser?

I got BBQ at SEP two days in a row this week! On a budget I highly recommend the turkey dipped in lemon garlic butter. The best though is the pork chop dipped in lemon garlic butter. And of course the wonder bread soaked in the lemon garlic butter that pools on the tray. See the pattern here? :)

Steve- call me send my a text message sometime and let me know how things are up there.

Steve whats the name of the BBQ place on Beal street that is so famous?

Rendevous. It's a little off of Beale in a side alley. I'm not a big fan since I don't really like dry rub BBQ, but some people are bonkers over it.

hey steve and brett, i think our maid hit my beer bong today, i found some brown coke colored liquid in it, and it can't be explained otherwise
