How to get a Boeing 737-400 in a hangar that is too small

Years ago I was based at an FBO that had a G3 in a hangar that was not designed for one. Someone made up about a 6 foot long by 6-inch high wood ramp to raise the nose wheel while entering the hangar. They just used a normal tug and there was a spot marked on the ramp where to put the ramp.

I have never seen a contraption like that before. It is a pretty good idea. Looks kind of risky though, if there is a problem with the nose lift during the moving it is going to cost a pretty penny to replace the top of a 737 tail that gets smashed.

Mile Hi skydive in Longmont, CO has a twin otter that is both too wide and too tall for the hangar doors. They get a couple people to sit in the aft part of the fuselage, a couple guys on the main wheels to control it, couple pulling down the tail, and a couple others to be able to pull down the tall/lift the nose and simultaneously swing the thing out the hangar doors.
