How to "do" KMCI

That's a fun flight, but personally, I like doing it at night better. I've taken a 172 in to MCI once, DA-20's a couple of times, and a DA-40. They don't seem to mind little guys in there at all. I know people who have done pattern work at KMCI, and didn't have any problems fitting in the sequence.

Probably a bit tougher pulling that off here at KATL...

I did a t&g at DEN once during my training... needless to say it was fun watching 8 or 9 airliners on the taxiway waiting for me. Oh it was at night so I was polite enough to wait til then. Though the intermittent XPDR wasn't really helping things!

id rather watch the coffee machine drip slowly than watch someone fly a traffic pattern in anything less than a SR71....
Great, then don't watch it. I am just a budding pilot, I don't have all kinds of cool "sport pilot ratings" in my sig like you, I find anything involving planes exciting. The idea of landing a small GA aircraft at an airport that big is cool to me. Sorry to have bored you.

It is cool. I enjoy going into the big ones to. Took a 172 into KDAL once. All went really smooth until I was ready to depart. Something like " C172 taxi to hold short XXrwy via A A2 B1 Y6 Y C D E J I LM ML YU Q2 B B4 BN N I L M N :insane:....well you get the point.

An experience for sure!

Next time I'll be sure to take an airport diagram along:dunno:
