This seems like a simple question that I know isn't. How do you answer this question:

"Applicant, what do you do if the captain (PF) descends or indicates that he/she will descend below mins on an approach?"

Make sure he is alive and not slumped over the wheel.

"Come on Greg, lets get outa here"

That's an exact quote if what I said.

I have heard that one before. Some buddys of mine that went to work for Pinnacle Airlines (Northwest Airlink) got asked this one.

They pretty much answered saying that they will go with the captain through the whole procedure. If time permits, ask the captain why he feels comfortable going below minimums. If there is no time then they they will call the Minimums, VDP (if applicable) and even Missed Approach. Remember never to assume on these situational questions. The captain can go below minimums if he has the runway enviroment insight, during an emergency, and other special cases. Maybe he has perceived something you did not at the time, and he made the choice to go below minimums.

Anyway, just a thought.

Dooood what in God's name do you have all over that King Air? Some kind of Space Fungus?

Can we spray it or something? Or should we beat it to death with a stick?

Send me the original photo and I'll fix it for you.

Looks like it's been in interlace hell. Some of the pictures I took with the still function on my video camera look like that. I'll never use that feature again, especially since I got the new digital cam.

That is what my old "cabana boy" avatar looked like when I tried to shrink it with Microsoft Paint.
