How should airlines handle obese passengers? How about wider

Re: How should airlines handle obese passengers? How about w

The idea of a row or two of wider seats is interesting, but I foresee to problems: 1) public relations: you're overweight so you have to ride in the back - think Rosa Parks; 2) people of means (as opposed to people of size) would see this as a more comfortable seat, kind of like the way exit row seats are now.
That's one of the biggest problems in this country.

If you are too fat (I used because it's more than likely your habits, not genetics), or too tall/wide(not so much your fault at all if any), then deal with it and be happy they want to accommodate you.

I hate when things can't get done because we're too worried about who's gonna be offended. I agree with the previous comment about this.

Lawyers have destroyed this country in the sense that you can't get a damn thing done because someone is going to be offended, and that person will hire a lawyer and make money out of thin air.

If you don't want to be offended don't leave your house and don't go online. The real world is obviously too much for you.

I love traveling outside the US and remembering that the whole world isn't bat insane and if you burn yourself on a drink you and every god damn person over 10 years old knows is hot (READ: COFFEE), it's your god damn fault and you shouldn't be allowed to sue mcdonalds.

If I see anybody dying on the sidewalk, I am now left at a dilemma, because I'm not sure if I should help them... if I do and I do something wrong, I can be sued for the damages when I was just trying to help.. but if I don't, well then I didn't help the poor guy that I wanted to and he may die because of it.

TL;DR

I HATE LAWYERS/INSURANCE COMPANIES

I still say we hood everyone, tie them up and fly them Guantanamo style in the back of a C-130, a few extra inches won't matter then. You could incentivize it by having it be the lowest price flight on all the major search engines.

How was the flight Grandma? "Oh the seating was a little uncomfortable, and I got hit in the head with an M-16 a few times, but man oh man you should see the deal I got!"

Put the "Obesity Seats" in the back of the plane for a nice rear C.G. :)
