How often are you using FSS to enhance your ADM?

I started calling FSS to get an extra set of eyes on severe WX situations so I can better brief my dudes, especially when AWS isn't publishing information that the vibes are telling me they should. It's been super helpful and I'm officially a FSS stan. How often do you guys talk to them just for that extra input?
 
I was having a Fun Day At Work (tm) and had the bright idea that FSS might be able to help amend my next flight plan thanks to (Very Important Business Reason). I remember the guy asking if we seriously didn’t have WiFi on board. That got added to the very long list of reasons I put activating GoGo in every year’s budget request.

I don’t think calling FSS is all that common at 121 shops either… Well established resources already exist and they are usually sufficient for planning purposes. You can ask all the 121 dispatchers on here at majors and regionals and I bet you the vast majority are gonna say they almost never call FSS.

That isn’t to say it’s a bad idea. It’s just.. generally unnecessary..
