How much do we really like our jobs? Poll

Let's say you won the lottery or maybe married into wealth would you keep flying for your airline?

I know I'd quit and either buy or rent for the fun of it but not think twice about hanging up the old monkey suit.

Yeah, quit and sit around and play gold all day.
 
I am not a work-a-holic. I like time off, a lot. I may eventually find a new job, but I would not work at whatever job I had at the time I won the lottery.
 
I used to think that I would stay and not care about the "what ifs" as much. But that was when I was single and really didn't want much more than to fly airplanes. But since then I've discovered that there's things much more important than flying planes around and would love to have the time to spend at home.
 
I'd probably go part-time just for fun (nice to have that option ;)). But yes, unlike my last regional, I actually enjoy the flying I'm doing now. I'd stick around.
 
Like a few others here, I'd quit and buy me own airplane (probably a VLJ or small jet) and enjoy my time off. I love to fly, but more so on my own terms. My senority is low at my company and my chances of flying a B747 making millions of dollars doing it just ain't gonna happen in my lifetime. :(

We get two weeks off (or more) a month at home. I'll take that over working 22 days a month 8-5 that realistically gives you 4 hours a night of "your time" save for the weekends.

I sure don't...11 days off. And those are all weekdays when my fiance is working and going to school. Not awesome

It's actually not a need for an income stream but rather a need for something to do. It wouldn't have to be flying, but I would have to do some form of "work" just so I wouldn't go crazy.

Right.

My post indicated that if I had no need whatsoever I clearly would not work.

Of which, will never be the case. But, it took three posts to get that across.

That's what xbox is for.

I can't believe some people would seriously keep working for an airline if they won the lottery. I mean, it's not a horrible job by any means but there is a reason we get paid!!
 
Depends on where you are on the burnout. If I were still a senior FO getting 19 days off a month, I'd probably have said "no." As it is, 10 days off a month on RSV with no end in sight......yeah, I'd be out if the zoo were actually hiring keepers right now.
