How much did you fly this year?

JTrain = 5.2 hrs FTD ~ 10.4 hours of piss poor FTD performance in said FTD.

;)

Dude our first go around was a circus, and I mean really, one for the record books. Between the two of us I think we managed to botch every callout we had, and eventually the plane went into speed hold Vga9 (around 156 knots for that weight). We had full power in and were climbing at like 6,000 FPM for a level off that was at like 3,000'. Our callouts went something, "WHERE'D HE GO?" and my sim partner was like, "WHERE'D WHO GOOOOOOOOAAAAAARRRRRRRROOOOOUUUUNNNNDDDDDDDDDDDDDDOOOOOOOOOHHHHHHCCCCCCRRRRRAAAAAPPPPP!" as if it was happening in slow motion.

The second missed was textbook, sadly :)

Meanwhile my neighbor here in the commuter hotel is wondering what the ruckus is as I laugh my ass off! :)

Nice!! LOL. . . After a couple of years away you are allowed a few "How the hell does this thing work again?" moments in FTD.

I did 835 hours.

Oh man, I remember my first missed approach in that FTD. Surprised I didn't crash the thing. 6000fpm, hands everywhere, callouts 30 seconds late... Go around, uhh, flaps 18? DAMN. :D You need to come fly a real man's airplane that automatically sets 2000fpm for you. Much more civilized. ;)

A "real man's airplane" doesn't require "callouts" or someone else to set anything in the cockpit for you. :)
