Was wondering about the undershirt situation for you four-day types. I approve. Especially if a flamboyant tie is covering a BBQ stain from two days ago.
How many uniform shirts do you wear per trip?

Even at my passenger airline, 4 day trip OR longer, hotel laundry is a paid expense! Hotel laundry isn’t cheap, but our contract says we will be reimbursed. I have got them to pay it every time. Only caveat is 4 day trip or longer and laundry has to be done away from your pilot base (duh).
Never done a week+ trip, but how many flying days do I have? I’d probably have at least 4 shirts total, and hit the laundry somewhere on a layover.
MEM-ANC one shirt, layover, ANC-HKG one shirt, layover, etc. At some point, I assume y’all have a 24 hr layover somewhere that allows laundry.

Alright you domestic cats, what’s your excuse? You mean y’all can’t just wear one undershirt, one pilot shirt day 1, and then 3 undershirts + 3 pilot shirts packed in your layover bag? Shouldn’t be hard to fit. Maybe don’t pack half your house on a trip.

If you can’t pack 3 pilot shirts in your bag, what the eff are y’all’s packing in your overnight bag? Leave the cats and PS5 at home.
Can’t speak for anyone else here, but I certainly could pack more shirts. I don’t. It’s a waste of shirts, time, and space. Might as well pack four pair of work shoes. No pit stains, no odors… you might want to look in the mirror and figure out why you are the outlier who needs an exterior shirt per work day? Or don’t! I’m just having fun. None of my business!

Ever wonder when you show up to a place they give you one (or 2) pilot pants, 1 belt, 1 wings, 1 epaulette pair, 1 tie, 1 blazer/jacket, but FOUR pilot t-shirts?

Everyone is different. Some people like @Cherokee_Cruiser suffer from hyperhidrosis (excessive sweating) and need a new shirt every day.

I don’t have any medical condition. I’ve always just worn one pilot shirt per day. I figured they gave us 4 for that reason.
I don’t see y’all giving Derg any crap? Not sure what he does now but that trip report from 2003 he was a narrowbody FO and packed a uniform shirt per day.

It's really not that hard to comprehend the idea of being able to wear a uniform shirt for 4 days, with a fresh undershirt on under it, if you take care of it.

I said one shirt for a 4 day, but it's situation dependent. 13 hour duty days in July, in a CRJ200 doing CLT to various Florida destinations all day? Sure, I'll pack more shirts. Short days in the winter? I'm not going to sweat, so I pack a spare shirt, but don't plan to use it. FWIW

That silly logic can be applied anywhere. Why change your underwear? It’s not like you peed or pooed in it. May as well wear the same underwear all 4 days.
If they wanted you to wear one shirt all 4 days, they would given you 1 shirt. But when they gave you 4 shirts, it should have been a clue.

We got some new bamboo M&H shirts that supposedly are pretty good. I have been just paying out of pocket for a cut above but might try these this year. I usually just use my uniform allowance for shoes.

I got 6.
4 they provided, those are A Cut Above.
2 I had to buy, company store option was M&H.

I do mostly day trips and 2 day trips, and 3 days.
Could do 6 day trips, 6 separate shirts, laundry after. Could do three 2-day trips. Or could do two three-day trips.
Then laundry time.
