How low will it go?

All indices are dropping. How well are you guys doing?

I've only made it up 5% this year. I think I might hold off and wait till I buy a house hopefully this summer and get back to it.
 
Moved out of sector funds in December, actually missed the record highs by a few days. Back in on weakness - in small dosages (technology). I thought the transportation index was topping out, but it climbed another ~5% after I pulled the plug. W-2's and 1099's with no state income tax = win

Must not be holding BRK because it's down 5% this year.
 
Nope. I'm scared to death to hold BRK, despite my extreme confidence in Buffett, because I know that the stock will tank at least 20% when he dies, which could come at any time. No matter how well he's groomed a successor, it won't matter. No one will have the confidence that they had in the Oracle, at least not until he proves himself.

I don't even own any of Berkshire's holdings. There are much better opportunities in small- and mid-cap stocks that Berkshire is too big to be able to touch nowadays.

I thought it was a young lady they were going to usher in as the new leader?

The only things I have going up right now are REITs and the holding company I work for. At least it is making mortgage rates go down. I have three clients that I would like to get their properties moved yesterday!

He's picked his successor, but he refuses to tell anyone who it is. Lots of speculation on different people. Tracy Britt Cool is probably who you're thinking of. Very impressive woman, but it's hard telling whether she's the pick. She under 30 years old, I believe.
 
I'll guess a minor correction, with many quality companies being unaffected.
My biotech and china stocks are fine. Apple is frustrating me, could buy more but I'm not cost-averaging-up for it.

I'd like to short UAL, but won't.
 
Some big moves in the last year. Some amount of correction/drawdown is normal.*
