How do you log this??

Thats sweet, the NEW soulution to CHEAP multi time. Maybe schools like ATP can get these, and provide REASONABLE multi rates. :) :) :)

It's called a Cri-Cri

And yes, it is a multi engine airplane.

It's a kit, so it has an experimental airworthines certificate. You must have an multi engine land pilots liscense, just like any other twin.

PIC Turbine Baby...

I Love those planes! There's a video around somewhere of them in flight. They're fast, aerobatic, and just kick butt cool!

I was just going to ask you guys if you think this is a valuable way to build Multi Time and perhaps turbine time ! (The CriCri's weight is about 150lbs, so would that be logged as UltraLight ?)

FWI, the average price to buy one of these already build is about 15 000 $, and the the cost per hours is about 10 € /hour in Europe, so I'll guess its about 10 bucks an hour in the US since fuel is cheaper.

The great thing is that you dont need a hangar, just a trailer, some carry it on the top of their SUV ;)

I dunna Tony. That thing can do some pretty massive damage to a road sign.

I wonder what kind of radar signature that thing would give off? It isn't that big to begin with and it doesn't put out that much heat. Can't be the easiest thing to shoot down.

Tiger woods, a 9-iron and about fifteen golf balls...

Tink! -- pang
Tink! -- pang
Tink! -- BAM! CRASH!

If someone was to bust the ADIZ in this thing, would ATC even know?

Not that I'm condoning busting that thing -- Gitmo isn't a place I want to be!

As long as the aircraft is equipped with a mode C transponder and has a two way radio, it can be operated in the ADIZ. I know one thing for sure though about this aircraft. There is no doubt as to who is the PIC.

I saw a picture of the cockpit a few years ago when I found it the first time... Turns out the fuel tank rests between your legs.

Yeeesh. Better not have a fire in that thing!
