How do you address a TRSA?

If you're MikeD, you address the TRSA however you want. If they've got problems with that, then threaten to turn off your transponder and cancel your IFR clearance.

Harrisburg has a TRSA. On my private checkride, when the examiner pointed to it and said tell me what this is and I answered correctly, the look on his face made me realize that it was going to go pretty smoothly.

I'd say that for pretty much anywhere. I don't know how many times I've been scanning the sky, not seeing anything and approach tells me about traffic. Thenf inally I go "whoa, crap...how did I not see that?". See and avoid is nice when you see them, but sometimes it can be pretty difficult. Not saying that radar advisories mean you shouldn't be looking.

I brought this up because both to and from Miramar, we utilized Banning pass.
It's interesting how the fog always seems to stop right about there.
 
I've always noticed how the fog stops right at the pass, too. Strange. I also love the steady 40 knot headwind's I have to deal with when we fly out into the Basin through the pass from PSP.. you look down at the 10 below you and the semi's in the slow lane are going faster than your 50 knot groundspeed, hehe.
 
Michigan must be a pretty TRSA-friendly place. We have AZO, MKG, and I think Saginaw as well, but I'm too lazy to look. I've found TRSA services to be pretty nice as you get basically class C service near a class D (usually less busy) airport. I'm not sure about other regions, but in my flying in and around TRSAs in Michigan, I've never been vectored very far out of my way.
