I was wondering what the results of the vote were over at NetJets. I don't know if that is supposed to be internal information or not. I thought the vote was supposed to be sometime around thanksgiving.

any new info on this?

There was some sort of hold-up because not everyone got ballots, or some such. Vote is going to be tallied tomorrow I believe.

Check back tomorrow. The vote is scheduled for 12/7. It was originally scheduled for Nov, but was changed due to delays with the postal service getting ballots to pilots.

IBB.....Call it a contract booster shot.

Ref below: New hires will start on the 15 day flex schedule...$62,563
http://www.airlinepilotforums.com/showthread.php?t=17486

New hires will start on the 18-day fixed schedule according to the tentative agreement which is an annual base salary of $69,188. After they complete training there is the posibility of them being junior assigned the 15 day schedule, in that case their annual base salary will revert to the $62,563 listed above.

Vote passed.

Almost 96% pilot participation (2577 pilots)
75% in favor.

Way to Go! NetJets has always been in my top 5 since I toured their Columbus facilities in college. I have six hundred more hours to build before I meet minimums and can start applying. I might start applying a little earlier to show I have initiative.:)

What is the duration of the contract? One of the NJ Captains I ran in to thought it was too long. Does anyone know when it expires?

So I basically know nothing of how this union stuff works. So if I'm a new hire FO, I won't make less than $62,563?

When you get hired at Netjets, you start on the 18 day fixed schedule and remain there till training is complete. After that time, you may bid onto the default 7&7 schedule, the 15 day flex schedule, or try and stay on the 18 day fixed schedule. If you try and bid the 18 or 15 day schedule, but your seniority does not allow you to hold it, you will be assigned to a 7&7 schedule. The feeling is that the 15 and 18 day schedules will go senior during the bid cycles, but we will see what happens.

1st year pay for FOs:
7&7 - 56,875
15 day - 62,563
18 day - 69,188

So you can't make less than $56,875 your first full year here. Keep in mind that the company pays all the premiums for health care (for the whole family), the company provides crew meals (meanining you keep most of your $40 per diem in pocket), and you still get holiday, overtime pay, etc. So far this year I am right around 13% over my base pay for all the overtime, holiday pay, etc, and I try not to work overtime at all.

Hope this helps.

I'm on the lovable Ultra. One of the few good things about the fleet is that the flying has really slowed down the last couple of years. I probably won't even have 350 hours in by the end of the year!

whoa! I didn't know the contract was going to last that long. A lot of things can change in 5 years.
The 2005 CBA was a 5 year contract also. The 1998 was 3 years but was amended through 7.

Imagine if we merge with NJI and it continues to 2016, then we negotiate for 4 years again. Conceivably we could see a 12 year contract.
