I'm open to anywhere in Houston. Drove 45 min's for my previous one but he unfortunately passed away.

I used to use Andy Davis up in Conroe. He's good and looks out for you. I'd still use him but I get my FAA med done now when I do my Hong Kong one with the same guy in HKG.

My last DOT physical was 10x stricter than my 2nd class medical.
Jeez, I'll never go there again!
So, this isn't like an annual vehicle inspection- you're documented as inadeqauate- if you don't pass here, just go around the corner to someone else less stringent.

That who I went to last year, visit was quick and uneventfull, till I got a letter in the mail two weeks later saying my medical was going to be denied cause they forgot to send in my EKG test with the rest of my stuff. After the nurse "assured" me that that was not possible on the phone, that they did send it, I had to drive back to his office and show the damned letter the FAA sent me before they would send the results of the EKG in..

Over 400 Continental pilots go to Dr Hal Conwell in Huntsville (exit 114), including myself. He is legendary in AME circles and his office is like walking into an aviation museum. He is getting up there in age, but I will drive the hour north as long as he continues to practice. (936) 295-5222.

Yeah, Conway was awesome. Great physician and will be missed by many pilots!

I used Earl Martin Sr. for years, but switched to Curtis last year.
Great guy, but he is a one man show, so call and leave a message, he'll call you back. I've had him meet me with 30 minutes notice.
