Not sure what you guys are paying down in Kissimmee, but the flying club i'm in charges $64 per tach hour dry for a C172N (IFR current). comes out to be about $85 per hour at 90-95kias.

I know that the flight schools down at KISM charge over $120-$130 for a C172 so if you want some details let me know...this club is out of KORL.

Like I said, the C172P I rent with steam gauges that is IFR certified ends up costing me around $80-$85 per hour.

Thats absolutely fine. Which airport do u fly from?

Very expensive? 7 gallons an hour at $5 per hour = $35 fuel cost per hour. The $64 per hour tach ends up being about $55 per hobbs hour. So per hobbs hour you're paying at the most $90 per hour. I usually get the fuel burn down to 6.5 per hour and can get the tach down a bit more as well...plus there's cheaper fuel than $5.00 out there.

If you want to pay $105 per hour in a C162 that can't even carry 2 grown adults or $140 for a C172 be my guest...you're the type of person those flight schools in Kissimmee really like since it's obvious that math isn't your forte but good luck to you.

Check out this website:

http://www.orlandoaviators.com/

We had 3 airplanes. A 172N, 172P, 172R. We lost the 172N (owner decided to lease it out up north) but we just got a 182 and it looks like we're also getting a Warrior. Rates are lower than anywhere else i've seen in Orlando and the planes are maintained pretty good. Availability is usually not a problem, sometimes a bit tight on the weekends but since we're getting more airplanes it should improve.

It looks like the C182 will rent for $95 per tach hour dry. So figure $85 per hobbs hour (maybe less depending on RPM setting) and about $50 per hour for fuel (10 gal x $5). $135 per hour for a C182 with autopilot, radar, and many more nice things.

Now I see where you were coming from on the last post. Thanks for the heads up

The Piper Warrior (160HP) will rent for $62 dry per tach hour. So you're talking around $85-$90 wet per hobbs hour.
