We all spend more time than most behind hotel room doors. What is the biggest source of your layover hotel room frustration?
For those that are picking outlets, I strongly suggest getting a USB hub that plugs in directly to the wall. I got one from Target for like $10. Works worldwide (with adaptor) and you get 4-5 plugs.
Life. Changed.
I only have two things to plug in, EFB and phone, but I like the phone by my bed because alarm clock and if the outlet is 10 feet away it's annoying
Mine has a long cord (giggity) so if you are one of those places where the wall plug is hard to get to, it provides a more convenient situation.
I have to put my alarm on the other side of the room, otherwise I'll just mute the thing without ever waking up.

I have a 6 foot cord for it that solves most problems, well except for these phenomenal lamp designs:

What about your rest periods on the 747? Do you put the alarm clock in the cockpit for that same reason? Probably a good idea anyway, it'll wakeup the cockpit crew so they can go back to their official crew rest![]()
I have so much crap to charge.
Personal phone, work phone, work iPad, smartwatch, noise cancelling earbuds, and an extra battery to charge all of those when I'm not near an outlet.
