Hot NetworkJC News:

Well, given my airlines' new stance of "1000/200 unless you've done a bridge program" I, personally, don't think they'd mess well at NJC. Unless we want someone there pushing JetU on people to get to the airlines faster.....

PNCL always surprises me at every turn. They want guys with 1000/200 when everyone else is hiring lower even Republic and SkyWest. They must be utilizing more jetU guys to fill seats. They add ETOPS and other non regional flying essential items to the interview too! Crazy man!:insane:

I am just a student pilot resuming my training again. Do you guys think it is still a good idea to attend that specific event?

I will have my CFI by summer of 08 though!!

Absolutely. Learn about the various airlines in attendance, shake some hands, get some business cards and that way once you're able to apply, you've already met the movers and shakers.

And they'll remember you.

I'll be there. Might be looking for a regional job is a few (3 or so) years. Meeting these folks will never hurt.

I can put in a call to see if we can get another regional represented if ya want.....

If there are people interested in SkyWest I can call and see if we can get someone there too. I think it could happen. Crap, SGU is just up the road. I am going to try to make it too.

I'm heading out on the road but call me if you'd like Doug.

Just to be clear: Skywest and American Eagle are sending folks FROM their HR Department. Expressjet is sending a "representative" who will take resume's and recommendations back to the HR department.

Oops, shoulda read further.

Hmmmm I wonder if any of the HR peeps would mind me pestering about an engineering job? Then again Its really only the Majors that have an engineering dept. Then again I should bring my stuff just in case.

Regionals have engineering as well, especially your former employer!;):D

I wish I could go and I currently have ZERO hours. It sounds like a really great opportunity to not just meet recruiters and get leads but also to link some faces to their screen names.

Just to be clear so no one gets their hopes up, SkyWest's mins are still 1000/100 (and they're pretty firm on that) unless you have 200+ hrs of CRJ/ERJ time--then they'll reduce the TT requirement to 850. I call it the "Mesa Airlines Bridge Program".

Still lower than 1000/200!;)

Who's coming from Skywest? CE herself or one of her minions?

James Miller
880 TT & 62 ME James began ATP’s Regional Jet Standards Certification on July 22, 2007. Pinnacle Airlines hired James 2 months after starting training with ATP. Total fixed cost for airline training program: $5,995.

I guess the RJ course at ATP qualifies as a bridge program?
