Last I checked everyone at an airline is a part of the team is needed to operate it.
According to a friend at Endeavor at least 50% of their administrative staff could go.

We're kidding ourselves if we're going to say that there isn't fat that could be trimmed.Last I checked everyone at an airline is a part of the team and is needed to operate it.
That's all you got from that?Last I checked everyone at an airline is a part of the team and is needed to operate it.
You didn't miss a decimal but you did misread the email. It says we need to cut 28% of the differential between us and Skywest, not total cost. That would be impossible.
Still, I think the pilots should say NO to any concessions whatsoever. I'm very disappointed that I've heard people involved with the union who seem to agree with the company that we need to cut costs in order to help out the airline. It simply doesn't make sense when regionals are fighting over pilots.
Thanks for the correction. Upon re-reading I'm gaining a better understanding. That's what I get for not paying enough attention. Man, is that thing poorly worded though.
And I completely agree with you. In 2012, the first quarter profit was 24 million. In 2013, it was 44 million. In 2014 it was 94 million, and this year it was 149 million.
It seems to me that costs are at a reasonable level...
Correction: I attended a "town hall" meeting today. It is 28% of total cost, not of the cost differential. I was right the first time.

Those aren't QX's numbers, they're AAG's numbers. QX's numbers are irrelevant, as AAG controls both the income and expenditures for QX. One organization, 3 shells in the game.Where are you getting these numbers? Horizon's numbers aren't broken out on the 10-Q for ALK.
Anything's possible... but in my humble opinion this falls into the "when pigs fly" category. How is that even possible?
That's outstanding news. I hope my reserve experience is the same.Unrelated: is it normal to never, ever get called while on reserve? Do things pick up near the holidays? I'm starting to worry I'll forget how to fly.

Well, in that case I'm not sure.Well...that was sorta my point. The numbers you quoted didn't align with the 10-Q I was reading, but maybe I missed something....
Any good news for Horizon pilots?
