Horizon Airlines Hiring

There was no mention of T-props in the last EAS bid for Southeast, so they are locked into jet service at least till that runs out and they have to rebid again.

I think those expire in 2015 which supposedly coincides with the retirement of the -400 combis depending on who you talk to.

They move a lot of cargo with those combis. I wonder what they'll do with that.
I dont know. But Alaska is pretty bad about getting bypass mail out to western Alaska. By the time it gets to us it is already late. NAC gets the most because they have the first daily departure to Nome.

I applied on Saturday, and just got a call for an interview on the 16th, so they seem to be pretty quick about getting back to qualified applicants.

I got a 'thanks but no thanks' response real quick too. I think my multi time is my achilles heel...

How much do you have? I only have 51 hours multi, so apparently ATP minimums there are fine with them.

I'm only sitting at 27 hrs. I was hoping that I could get the rest in a full flight sim during training then take the ATP ride. Haven't had too much luck with it though. But that's promising that once you get to 50 they call you back real quick.

What is your total time and experience?

The reason I ask is that I applied a while back with 147 Multi, 250 Night, 500 XC, 100 IFR and 1400 TT and I got the "thanks but no thanks" letter. I am hoping that it is just that I do not have the 1500 yet and not because they are still full of applicants with 121/turbine experience.

If you don't meet the published mins, I can guarantee you will be getting turned down.

If you meet the mins, you'll have as much of a shot as anyone else. I was hired with 73 hours of multi.

Aside from the total time (I had just over 2000 when I applied) and multi, your times are really similar to mine, so if you apply after you have the 1500 hrs, you'll probably get a call.

I just got my App in Last night. 1510 TT!!!! Keep those fingers crossed! I would really like to be doing something other than steep turns at five thousand come next summer in PHX!
