Late last year my roommate said something about me breathing heavy, and i didn't really notice anything and then when i did i finally had it looked at and the ENT DR. i was referred to by my allergist asked me if i knew i had a hole in my septum and he asked me if it bothered me. At the time i didn't have any discomfort nor was i bothered it, and he said good because i wasn't a good candidate for a septum repair and cautioned me that repairing it could make the problem worse and the hole larger. Now i do notice that sometimes when i breathe i hear a whistling, and it get annoying to listen to. I was wondering if their is anything about this that is disqualifying or about the corrective solution that may disqualify my medical and i'm looking for advice on how to proceed because i'd like to have it fixed but not necessarily at the risk of having my medical dq'd. any advice?
