I think the ones I’ve installed/replaced have all been. But it’s been a while so I could be wrong.

Side note, whenever I installed an air Hobbs, I would use an in-line fuse behind the panel for circuit protection. Want to disable the Hobbs? Great, hope you enjoy flying with the master off.

On our duchess it used the right engine oil pressure, so you could fly around single engine all day for free

Not really that close.

I mean 50nm each way at 100kts would yield just short of 1 hour on a tach usually. If it's 2.0 tach and 2.4 hobbs that's pretty normal.

Next time you go up bring a stopwatch. Every .1 is 6 minutes.
